how much does a tattoo cost?
our minimum charge is £60–80, which covers small pieces and the setup involved in any tattoo. larger work is priced by the day rather than by the hour, so you know the cost before you sit down.
every artist prices their own work, so the exact figure depends on who you book with and what you're having done. send us your idea and we'll give you a straight answer before you commit to anything.
how does the deposit work?
a deposit secures your date and comes off the cost of the tattoo. each artist sets their own, so the amount depends on who you're booking with and the size of the piece.
your artist will confirm the amount and how much notice they need to move an appointment when you book.
do i need a consultation first?
no — consultations are free and entirely optional. plenty of people book straight off a message.
that said, if your piece is large, you're covering something up, or you're still working the idea out, coming in to talk it through is usually worth the trip. you'll see the space, meet your artist, and get a proper sense of cost and sitting time before anything's booked.
do you take walk-ins?
yes, when there's space. we're an appointment-led studio, so walk-ins depend on whether an artist has a gap that day.

how long is the wait for an appointment?
it varies a lot between artists. some have space in the next couple of weeks, others are booked further ahead depending on demand and the size of the work.
if you're flexible on which artist you see, we can usually get you in sooner. tell us your rough timeframe and we'll be straight with you about what's realistic.
do you do cover-ups?
yes — cover-ups are one of the things we do most, and black and grey work suits them particularly well because the shading gives you room to hide what's underneath.
send a clear, well-lit photo of the existing tattoo and we'll tell you honestly what's possible. some pieces cover cleanly, some need laser fading first, and we'd rather say so up front than promise something that won't sit right.
how do i book with a specific artist?
ask for them by name. every artist here keeps their own diary and takes their own bookings, so message the studio saying who you'd like to see and what you're after, and it goes straight to them.

do you have guest artists?
yes. alongside our resident artists we host guests on rotating dates, including karolina, who comes back to guest with us regularly.
guest spots go up on our instagram and tend to book quickly, so it's worth following along if you want to catch one.
how old do i have to be?
18 or over. in the uk it's a criminal offence to tattoo anyone under 18, and that applies even with a parent's permission — so there are no exceptions, ever.
bring photo id with your date of birth on it: passport or driving licence. if you look under 25 you'll be asked for it.
can i bring my own design, or an ai-generated reference?
you're more than welcome to. ai references are genuinely useful for showing us the mood and direction you're after.
where ai tends to fall down is composition and the placement of individual elements — so a generated image rarely translates straight onto skin the way it looks on screen. we'll take your reference and redesign it so it can be tattooed correctly and sits properly on your body.
does black and grey age better than colour?
yes. colour still ages well when it's looked after, but sun exposure fades colour pigments faster than black — so colour work needs more protecting over the years.
black and grey holds its density longer and relies on contrast and structure rather than hue, so it tends to stay readable as it softens. whichever you go for, sunscreen on a healed tattoo is the single best thing you can do for it.
how do i look after a new tattoo?
keep it clean and dry, and don't moisturise for the first three full days. after that, a small amount of cocoa butter once a day until it's settled.
don't pick or scratch it while it's healing, and keep it out of the sun. your artist will talk you through the details on the day — and message us any time if something doesn't look right.
where are you, and is there parking?
7 crusader court, eagle business park, yaxley, peterborough, pe7 3pu. free parking on site, so you can pull up directly outside.
open tuesday to saturday, 10am – 5pm. sunday and monday are appointment only.
