after
care.

make your tattoo look good forever.

the next two weeks decide how it settles. it isn't complicated — wash it, dry it, leave it alone.

first 24 hours

the most crucial stage.

  1. leave the bandage or film wrap on for at least 2–6 hours, unless your artist told you otherwise.
  2. wash your hands thoroughly before touching your tattoo.
  3. gently wash the area with lukewarm water and fragrance-free soap.
  4. pat dry with a clean paper towel or let it air-dry. do not rub.
  5. do not apply any creams or lotions for the first three days. your tattoo needs time to settle and form a protective layer on its own.
days 3–14

keep it clean, keep it moving.

  1. after day three, carry on gently washing and drying the area two to three times a day.
  2. start applying a thin layer of tattoo-specific aftercare balm or cocoa butter after each wash.
  3. keep it clean and dry, but never soak it — no baths, pools or saunas.
  4. don't scratch or pick at flaking skin. it causes scarring and patchy healing.
  5. wear loose, breathable clothing over the tattoo while it heals.
things to avoid

while it heals.

  • sun & sunbeds
  • tight clothing
  • gym & workouts
  • soaking it

and moisturise regularly. that's the whole trick.

the kit

what you'll need.

you don't need much, and you don't need anything perfumed. we stock what we'd use ourselves — grab it on your way out, or order it online.
